About BSS
Blessed Sacrament School is a growing PreK through Grade 8 Catholic school located in Providence, RI. We are a diverse community of working class families who desire a high-quality education for their kids that will give them advantages and opportunities in life.
Blessed Sacrament School has been serving Providence families since 1925. Back then, it was mostly immigrant families from Ireland, Italy, Poland, and other European countries. Parents struggled and sacraficed to give their children a solid education that would open up doors of opportunity for them later in life.
That tradition continues today as the the children and grandchildren of immigrants from Latin America, Africa, and Asia now bless our halls. Diversity flourishes here in new and beautiful ways, bringing us closer to Jesus as we celebrate differences and marvel in our shared faith and humanity. One thing, however, remains the same: our parents still choose BSS because it gives their children advantages and opportunities they could not get in other schools.

Mission Statement
The mission of Blessed Sacrament School is to educate pre-school through grade eight students in a safe, nurturing, and academically challenging environment that instills the knowledge of God’s great love for us. We empower students to become well-rounded individuals who are lifelong learners and joyful witnesses to Christ’s teachings.
